I went here with my girlfriend and loved it. My new favorite steakhouse in NYC. Steak was perfectly cooked (cheateaubreand - medium rare) and I’m not a big steak sauce person but their red wine truffle sauce was delicious. Food was excellent and service was fantastic. Highly recommend

We had a business group of 4 for lunch yesterday, and the experience was perfect. The dining room was elegant, the service was impeccable and the food was excellent. I very much enjoyed my Caesar salad followed by salmon that was cooked to a beautiful moist texture and flavor.

I brought my mom here for Mother’s Day and we had an amazing experience. On such a busy day the food and service were perfect and we didn’t feel rushed. Staff went above and beyond on something as simple as taking photos for us and the interior is stunning.

We had our second delicious meal Sunday night! The food was perfectly prepared and could not have been better. We had the Chateaubriand for two which was incredibly flavorful and melted like butter in our mouths. The soft swirl ice cream with an array of toppings tableside was a perfect ending to a wonderful evening. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the outstanding and very responsive service. All in all it was a 5 Star evening and we will return often.

The staff are extraordinarily attentive and helpful - extremely professional without being stuffy. The food is truly exceptional. We have enjoyed all the beef cuts and the beef marrow but don’t miss the porterhouse steak. Each dish from appetizers to entrees has a delicious twist. From the onion rings served three ways to an exquisite potatoes au gratin, even the sides are special. The wines selection is terrific- including Daniel’s own red. We have been many times with our adult sons and sent many friends who agree this is a terrific NYC restaurant. We’ve eaten in the bar area many times. It’s lively, served anything we wanted from the dining room and there’s a killer burger available only there. That said, we adore the lively yet soothing pace of the restaurant and look forward to many more meals there. It’s a special place for a special meal. Make a reservation well ahead of time!

As someone who works in the industry, I have a deep appreciation for the 'machinery' behind a great restaurant, and this team is operating at the highest level. The amount of staff on hand is incredible, but more impressive is their coordinated attention to detail. The Dover Sole was a particular highlight—the filleting was handled with absolute precision, and the presentation was flawless. Combined with an outstanding Prime Rib, the meal was a perfect example of classic technique executed to perfection. It’s rare to see a front-of-house team move with such grace and efficiency. Thank you for making our visit so special; the level of craft here is truly top-tier."

Mother’s Day at La Tête d'Or was such a great experience. The atmosphere felt elevated without being overly formal or intimidating — fancy enough for good photos, but still relaxed and comfortable. We started with the tuna tartare and shared the Kaluga caviar for appetizers, which made the evening feel a little extra special without feeling pretentious. For mains, my husband ordered the NY strip, our daughter had the steak frites, and I ordered the lobster. We also shared extra fries and the spicy broccolini on the side — because sometimes balance means caviar and fries at the same table. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and enjoyable, but what really stood out was how relaxed the entire experience felt. It had the feel of a nice celebration dinner without the pressure of “serious” fine dining, which honestly made Mother’s Day even more enjoyable for our family.
