One of the best steakhouse and fine dining restaurants around definitely! We love chef Daniel Boulud’s all other restaurants and this latest one did not disappoint! Gorgeous interior, ambiance and service, not to mention the top notch execution in each plate we had. Bread and sides were all great compliments to the main plates. We enjoyed the twisted lyonnaise salad and prime rib. Horseradish crème sauce was excellent! Food here is top tier solid and service was seamless. We will try to come back more often to try out the other menu choices!

I went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and had an enjoyable dinner experience. Overall, the taste suited me well, including the steak, prime rib, salad, and more. The final dessert was raspberry vanilla ice cream. It was a delightful dinner.

La Tête d’Or is one of my absolute favorites in NY. It’s a beautiful restaurant, with a perfect French/old NY steakhouse look, feel, menu. The quality of the meats and ingredients is top notch, and the execution is perfect. Super interesting menu items such as sweetbread nuggets. Fantastic sides and incredible desserts. A wine program to match the excellence, and a courteous, efficient and friendly service. The utmost hospitality. With his ace team, Daniel Boulud brings to NY the best of French and NY old world steakhouse!

The porterhouse was probably the best in NYC, and I have been to a dozen steak houses. The staff was kind and professional. The decor was decadent with a warm feel, not the typical noisy steak house. A must try for anyone who loves a great steak, and prefers fine dining feel.

Took my daughter for the meal of a lifetime (she loves steak and ‘fancy places’) and La Tete D’Or really delivered. It’s a wonderful blend of classic French and American steak house, as well as a very apt mix of smart and casual. Service and food quality are straight out of a formal Michelin star restaurant, but the vibe, menu and ambiance are more relaxed (the music was a 1980s rock playlist, for example). What really really stood out was the service and welcome. My daughter was talked to directly and with warmth, and everything was served with a smile, promptly and politely. An example: my daughter asked to use the restroom and the waiter smiled and said ‘Why mademoiselle, please let me show you to them’ which made her feel really special. Food quality was outstanding, presentation & portion sizes were perfect (we both had Filet Mignon), with a special mention of the slow-cooked and lightly spiced carrots. I had a One Madison martini which was delicious and quite remarkable. Perhaps the star of the show was the Swirl Sundae we shared for desert - entirely made in-house, down to the marshmallow and cookie dough chunks to sprinkle on top. An amazing, memorable meal in a beautiful space and with standout service 👍
